The Government should verify legitimacy of agreements concerning reconstruction of the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex.
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, forwarded an appeal to the Prime-Minister of Ukraine concerning reconstruction of the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex.
Thus, he drew attention to the results of the council held at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 15 December 2008 with the participation of the authorized representatives of profile Ministries, parliamentary committees, the National Olympic Committee, Kyiv City State Administration.
Mykola Tomenko stated that on 19 November 2008, the Government of Ukraine passed a resolution concerning increase of total estimated cost of reconstruction of the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex to 2 billion 114 thousand UAH. However, according to Kyiv City State Administration, till 3 December, State Enterprise the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex has concluded agreements with contractor companies for 1 billion 767 thousand UAH.
Therefore, Mykola Tomenko appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a request to verify the information concerning availability of relevant agreements of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for urgent conclusion of agreements with contractor companies appertaining to the reconstruction of the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex for 1 767,4 million UAH. The Vice-Chairman appealed with a request to render information concerning availability of a final (not a proof-of-concept) project of reconstruction of the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex.
